ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Mark Lundgren, President and CEO of Universal Security founded Universal Security in August 1992. As the sole proprietor of the company, he has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer throughout, overseeing two decades of consistent growth.
Mark worked as a Police Officer with the Chicago Police Department for fifteen years, serving in the Gang Unit, Juvenile Department, Chicago Housing Project, Emergency Response Unit, and the Extradition Unit.
As the founder and CEO of Universal Security, Mark maintains an active role in all aspects of the business including hiring and training new recruits, acquiring and servicing clients, and visiting client locations.
As a professional businessman, Mark is extremely active in the community and currently serves as a director on several organizations including: the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association, the Junior League of Chicago, the Lincoln Avenue Association, the Michael Sheahan Foundation, the Fraternal Order of Police, and Cubs Care.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago, and holds a degree in Human Resources Management. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
